Sunday Reflections: Trusting God’s Timing in a Balanced Market

This Sunday, I’m reflecting on how Calgary’s real estate is shifting to balance in 2026, after years of boom. More homes on the market, cooler bidding wars, supply catching up. It’s a breather, a chance to think long-term.

I remember landing in Calgary back in 2008, two suitcases, working nights at Walmart. No rush, just grind. Saved for Bridlewood through discipline, not hype. House-hacked the basement. That patience built everything.

Today’s market feels similar. Sales down 16% last year, listings up 9%, inventory rising 29%. Detached homes stable, apartments softening with all the new builds. Not crashing, just real. Affordability here still beats other cities, even with living costs.

For buyers, it’s opportunity. No FOMO pressure. Take time to find the home that fits your season, like Bowness did for me, closer to gym, church, clients. God’s redirect, not accident.

Faith says: when things slow, trust the timing. Discipline over chasing booms. Build cash flow, legacy. Family first.

Stay consistent, para sa’yo ‘to. Your breakthrough is coming.
